  • Ground Zero

    One of the things I wanted to see the most during our trip to New York City last December was Ground Zero. The only other time I had been to NYC was in March 1998, before 9/11 was more than just another date on the calendar and the World Trade Center was just another couple of skyscrapers.

    We weren’t the only tourists to visit Ground Zero that day, as it is clearly a place on everyone’s Must See list. For seven years now, people from all over the world have visited the scene of a most tragic crime, and even on a cold winter’s day in December, it wasn’t the wind that sent chills down my spine. The spirit of hope, freedom and rebirth is very much alive at Ground Zero and in the city of New York. I thought it appropriate to post a few pictures and videos from our trip, in honor of today.
